About me

My name is Ivor Davey, and as a sole trader, I have been valeting cars for now seven years, cleaning every type from the humble Ford Fiesta to prestige vehicles such as Mercedes AMG and Aston Martin. I have had a life long experience working one to one with customers, and enjoy adjusting to their individual needs.

My services
People have no doubt been confused as to what a car valet consists of. In my view, a full valet is a professional deep cleansing of vehicles, highly polished and to some cars – ‘a minor transformation.’ The aim of my service is to bring a sense of newness into customer’s cars and create that near to “showroom look” as much as possible, even to old cars.

Car cleaning can no doubt be a long or short process, as each vehicle is naturally subjected to many different environments. (See my table under descriptions & prices, which list the different levels of car cleaning on offer.) There will be a style & budget to suit everyone.

Regrettably - I do not pressure wash under the bonnet or near any engine compartment. The reason for this is because more and more engines are run by more sensitive computerized modules and chips and although located away from wet weather driving, these delicate parts however are not hidden to the full extent and would not favour to under-bonnet, steam or pressure cleaning. I do not wish any of my customers to be breaking down on their journeys, with their proudly cleaned vehicles.

A customer’s car is his castle!! And that means they also have a right to privacy, and there may be areas in vehicles such as the glove box, boot space, or under-seat compartments, where business documents, laptops or any other personal belongings may be kept. I understand not everyone can keep removing such items, especially business users on the road all day, so therefore I have full respect, not to clean in such areas if advised.

To date, I have valeted many cars and have made pleased and proud all my customers. However even though I use a good range of cleaners and solvents for the necessary tasks, there are cases when some stains just cannot be removed. Usually this is more common in older vehicles, but when such times happen, (which isn’t very often,) I will always point out these areas on completion of the job, so there are no mis-understandings.

Premier Auto Valet offers a ‘Fully mobile service,’ and will valet your vehicle wherever you are. Whether this be at home, at work, visiting the family or friends or even if you live on a farm. Using a fully equipped van, customers are not obliged to supply water or electricity for my service, therefore not adding to their domestic bills.

What happens when it rains?

The weather can be unreliable at the best of times and outdoor valeting when the rain arrives is made virtually impossible in these conditions. I will try and keep every booking to plan, but in wet weather it may have to be postponed or cancelled at the last minute until conditions improve. However, your vehicle is still my top priority and it will be re-scheduled at the earliest possible time.
